The Croatian Football Federation (HNS) has become the first national football team to leverage blockchain technology for fan engagement, partnering with Kadena to automate cryptocurrency rewards. Fans using the HNS Official Store app now earn 1% cashback in VATRENI tokens on merchandise purchases, redeemable for gear, experiences, and future match tickets.

Originally launched as a Polygon-based ERC-20 token in 2022, VATRENI has migrated to Kadena's blockchain to power the federation's loyalty program. While tradeable, the token primarily functions as a utility asset within HNS's ecosystem—a strategic MOVE aligning with global sports organizations' growing adoption of Web3 solutions for community building.
